The module sounds like quite a good one from the review and I look forward to hearing about how it plays out in practice; I might even pick it up if its as much fun as I suspect it might bePete Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03438651595079082035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7487871339000666216.post-65101510915368376512009-03-02T12:27:00.000-05:002009-03-02T12:27:00.000-05:00Is it unreasonable of me to suggest playing it thr...Is it unreasonable of me to suggest playing it through for a review?

Not at all. Unfortunately, I'm not the one to do that at this time, as I don't have any PCs in my campaign who are of high enough level for The Stalk and I'm not a fan of running adventures disconnected from a campaign. That said, I'll likely incorporate bits of this module into Dwimmermount eventually and I'll certainly report on that, when the time comes, but it'll be some months in the future before I reach that point.James Maliszewskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00341941102398271464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7487871339000666216.post-52590893338505221552009-03-02T12:17:00.000-05:002009-03-02T12:17:00.000-05:00Is it unreasonable of me to suggest playing it thr...Is it unreasonable of me to suggest playing it through for a review? I'd love to know if its a good play and I'm sure there are others out there that would too... is it fun? Do the ideas on paper work in practice?Pete Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03438651595079082035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7487871339000666216.post-82640976791482483322009-02-28T07:28:00.000-05:002009-02-28T07:28:00.000-05:00I wish it had been booklet-printed - probably cost...I wish it had been booklet-printed - probably cost around the same, but much easier to use. I'd comb-bind it, but I am a bit uncomfortable about ounching holes in the map...

Interesting product, though - it is very much the epitome of a "lair". I still can't figure out the map, and I suppose it wouldn't be easy to run this thing since the PCs would see their surroundings.

Still,
1) it is very interesting (giant ladybugs! :D)
2) if we discount the tremendous production delay, once it was announced, it actually shipped super-fast, so PPP may have indeed cleaned up its act!

I would like to read your thoughts on the other two; I have browsed through them, and been favourably impressed by at least Daemonic & Arcane (Arcane Treasury requires more study to pass a judgement on, it is a bit "2e" to me, but definitely imaginative).Melanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07165894144553629675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7487871339000666216.post-51776829650523719692009-02-27T14:41:00.000-05:002009-02-27T14:41:00.000-05:00The recently released El Raja Key Arcane Treasury ...The recently released El Raja Key Arcane Treasury is very nicely bound in the same style as Bottle City, Tower of Blood, and Cairn of the Skeleton King.

Given this, I've very much hoping that Daemonic & Arcane and The Stalk will be the last generation of unbound PPP products. Will Mistrettahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18403399118961902073noreply@blogger.com
