I was so frustrated I never played again.
I agree with your approach to the various modules, it had some great material to plunder but not something I wanted to play through as intended.
As an aside, how else could you handle a series of interconnected modules? It seems without a narrative (railroad) it would quickly explode into exponential directions that the authors could not anticipate.Thomas Denmarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06135075012362548876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7487871339000666216.post-89860393923876807292021-07-28T22:27:12.254-04:002021-07-28T22:27:12.254-04:00Fifth Frontier War includes rather better advice o...Fifth Frontier War includes rather better advice on how to integrate it with a Traveller campaign, as well.Sir Harrokhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11064391207365006286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7487871339000666216.post-27436152830126289322021-07-28T22:20:07.286-04:002021-07-28T22:20:07.286-04:00Boy, I remember playing the heck out of this one. ...Boy, I remember playing the heck out of this one. It sounds loosy goosy enough to just add in roleplaying elements to the battles or on the world as you see fit.

There's probably a fantastic Dragonlance campaign to be created just using locations & NPC's from the modules, a few flowcharts or orders/responses from opponents depending on what happens and one or two new twists on the plot (switch out lances or their location, or the staff or locations of xyz/motivations of X NPC...)Reasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09761229490262589438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7487871339000666216.post-87359030948687757732021-07-28T15:39:29.182-04:002021-07-28T15:39:29.182-04:00I played in some of the DL modules with a group I ...I played in some of the DL modules with a group I was in, and this sounds neat, but a game where this would work better for me is Traveller's Fifth Frontier War.Jimmy Simpsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03265501552844485806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7487871339000666216.post-7950498072980397892021-07-28T14:30:47.647-04:002021-07-28T14:30:47.647-04:00“…a strategic-level simulation of the War of the L...“…a strategic-level simulation of the War of the Lance…” I never was attracted to Dragonlance, but I wish I had known about this one.Stephen Wendellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16828432713646210247noreply@blogger.com
