I'm also very interested in the roots of D&D and blogs like yours has inspired me to start my own.

Anyway, I've been waiting to see some of the original Castle Greyhawk materials for decades. That legendary dungeon has always fired my imagination. What was in it? How big is it? Why was it never properly published?

Last year, when I became seriously interested in D&D again, I once again regarded the legendary Castle Greyhawk. I bought the farcical version years ago. So I got on eBay and bought the more serious treatment that was released in the 1990s. I also purchased the woefully inadequate adventure path that WotC published last year. And I also found out that Gary was finally publishing the real deal after all these years.

Then Gary died. I was horrified at the prospect that his magnum opus would never be published. Luckily, TLG published the game and is planning to publish the dungeons very soon.

Anyway, I pre-ordered CZ:UW last month and I am currently waiting to receive it in the mail. I plan to post an extensive review of it on my blog. I hope you will check it out.Xevenintihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14609390831891414670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7487871339000666216.post-24678428600096620782008-08-18T17:07:00.000-04:002008-08-18T17:07:00.000-04:00I pre-ordered the day they started taking them, so...I pre-ordered the day they started taking them, so hopefully I'll know soon.

I'm hearing nothing but good things from Gen-Con attendees on the TLG board, though. And I was really impressed with Mouthes of Madness (the preview advanture from the box that they released early). Will Mistrettahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18403399118961902073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7487871339000666216.post-60838191429314785062008-08-18T16:59:00.000-04:002008-08-18T16:59:00.000-04:00I'm hoping to pick up my copy from my DM (who atte...I'm hoping to pick up my copy from my DM (who attended the show alone this year, alas) when he returns from GenCon, so I hope to know much more about it in a day or two.

Allan.grodoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11800184312511280050noreply@blogger.com
