Attention Dragonquest Players

Tom Miller of the Dragonquest Players Association recently pointed me to their website, which includes lots of information about the game, as well as links to other DQ-oriented sites. It's well worth a look if you're a fan of SPI's fantasy RPG or if you're just curious to learn more about another classic old school game.

  1. Wow, I remember trading for a copy of this years ago. Makes me want to unpack it from storage... if I just knew where it was stored.

  3. I often think about trying to play this game. But everytime I actually try to get through the rules---well, too crunchy for me these days. But soem excelent flavour material.

Also, one should check out the Frotniers of Alusia website that has the game's default setting: [http://www.portalkeepersofgrayrock.com/Alusia/Alusiamap.htm]. A fantastic old-school setting with a alrge, nice map, a few sentences on major locations and that's it. Perfect for those who like just a little something to get them started.

  4. Back in '93 or so I ordered the 3rd edition of Dragonquest with the hopes of giving it a shot with the rest of the group. Well, to make a long story short, it never happened. Although I was eager to give it a try, everybody was so into D&D they wouldn't even consider it. So it sits today in pristine condition in my closet.

    Maybe one day...
