Thanks to a player in my Dwimmermount campaign and to my partner at Rogue Games, I've got a goodly supply of Kamandi comics to keep me busy, with more on the way. You guys work fast!
If I suddenly start to post a lot about Mutant Future, you'll know why.
Enjoy Earth After Disaster, James. Kamandi's been a source of adventure game inspiration to me for 3 decades.
ReplyDeleteAnother cool After Disaster type comic was Xenozoic Tales a.k.a. Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. It got the RPG treatment from GDW. Unfortunately it was saddled with the nigh unplayable Traveller New Era system.
W00T!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the comics James. :)
ReplyDeleteBought 95% of them 10 years ago from someone in Canada for $75. The Kirby ones utterly rock!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what you're talking about (really!), but I'm glad you're happy :).
ReplyDeleteWord Verification: oterse....well, the opposite of being terse, I guess.
I 'magine we'll be hearing more about Mutant Future, then.
ReplyDeleteKirby's stuff is loaded with energy and punch, as usual from him, as well as playing with a variety of themes from the seventies. Plenty of material there for a good classic postapocalypse.
Not sure if you posted before about this- but what about Kirby's The New Gods and Omac?
ReplyDeleteI don't presently have any copies of either New Gods or OMAC, but both have been suggested to me as things to read after I've finished with Kamandi.
