Kijai (Slimy Scavenger)
A kijai is a loathsome, sickly yellow mass of semi-translucent slime found throughout the middle and lower reaches of the Vaults. Sages debate whether it is a form of animal or plant life, though none dare deny its dangers.DR 11, HD

- Immunity: Unharmed by all attacks except cold and fire.
- Division: Fulmination or attacks with weapons cause the kijai to divide into 1d4+1 2HD hijai that do half damage.
- Acid: After a successful attack, sticks to victim and exudes acid. The acid inflicts 2d6 damage per round to flesh and destroys cloth, leather, or wood in one round (stone and metal are unaffected).
- Seep: Can squeeze through small holes and cracks.

Many questions:
ReplyDeleteHow big is the mass of slime? I would guess, 12 gallon volume.
Can it travel on walls or ceilings?
I take it this creature is non-intelligent, giving it immunity to mind controlling spells?
Do cold or heat (fire) based attacks do normal or bonus damage?
I assume it attacks with pseudopods, it generates from its mass?
If it's a liquid based glutinous, or gelatinous substance I would think it would be damaged or at least repelled by salt. Given its use of acid, it may be susceptible to sodium bicarbonate.
What is its hunting mode? Ambush killer? Persistent pursuer? Territorial guardian?
Are victims killed by Kijai digested for food? i.e. If we feed it a torch bearer will it leave us alone?
