Fairly Odd Grognard

This is me, taking it easy after a long night of distributing candy to the neighborhood children. In between answering the door, I was watching the original 1972 The Night Stalker, which is why you can see the DVD remote control in the background on my couch.

I hope everyone else had as pleasant a Halloween as I did.

  1. Great pic. You look younger. I guess it's the hair. Acerack called, he wants his crown back. :P

  2. Over in the Pacific Northwest, things are just heating up. The wife and I are still distributing candy, but we're heading to a party in about an hour or so.

Oh...and watching the original Night of the Living Dead over on our end.
    : )

  4. THe green hair is definitely you.

I love the original Night Stalker movie, and consider a model for what a Chill adventure should be.

Halloween was a non-event here: kids just don't trick-or-treat in a large apartment building.

  5. Love the hair!

All quiet here; the kids that used to live around here have all grown up over the past twenty years and haven't been replaced. The Missus and I are now the longest residents on the block, and perhaps the oldest. Odd; I don't *feel* like a dinosaur... :)

  7. We did I Know How Many Runs You Scored Last Summer (which I wouldn't recommend), Haunted Honeymoon (which is just weird), and, of course, Halloween. Tucked away down a mews (posh word for an alley), we didn't get any trick or treaters; either that or it's not as big a thing as I thought. We made pumpkin pie but forgot to carve a jack o'lantern. Oh well.

  8. Not bad, James,
all you needed was white facepaint, a few more inches of hair, you would have made a fair impersonation of Joker...

Carved a Jack of Lantern...didn't get to do Halloween this year...worked a double...made a ton of money...didn't need a costume going home from work after sundown...

  9. We have a 6 and an 8 year old. We took them and some of their friends out through our neighborhood last night. It was really fun.

  11. Oh, and we went down to see the annual Zombie Walk. Better than ever this year!

  12. Oh man, James. That's awesome.
    Was your wife Wanda?

VW: Cotort. Like a cohort, but one you eat cake with.

  13. Yes, my wife was Wanda.

The picture doesn't do justice to the full costume, as I had wings as well.
