Gamma World was my 2nd RPG ever, and we had quite a lot of fun with it. It's easy translation to D&D also made for some wild crossover adventures as well.
One thing that strikes me about the ad is the oddly specific date: 2467. It feels very random. Growing up with comic books, I'm used to "far future" dates being generated by adding +100, +500, or +1000 (Legion of Super Heroes!) years to the current date. Anyone have any idea how that date was arrived at?
Is it me or that's pretty... ominous?
