A Plan Takes Shape

Elsewhere, I take a bit more about the Grognardia anthologies I've been pondering. If this is something that interests you, consider following the link below to share your thoughts. I'd appreciate that.

  1. A collection of posts showing the evolution of the OSR would be cool.

Even cooler, in my book, would be a collection of your reviews on old tsr alphabet soup modules.

And finally, I'd love to see a reprint or print on demand version of Dwimmermount since I missed out the first time around.

    1. Agree, re: Dwimmermount! I’m in the same boat.

    2. Dealing with Dwimmermount is something I've considered at some point, but it's not on the immediate horizon. If that changes, I'll need put certain affairs in order first and that could take a while. We shall see!

    3. Well I'm crossing my fingers and toes it'll be within my lifespan.

    4. Seeing as I, too, have a limited lifespan, I'll do my best!

  2. Whatever you come up with, I'll buy a copy, and one for each of my boys. So, that's three copies sold already.

  3. Argh. Can't comment over there: Consider Basic Grognardia (1st Age) and Expert Grognardia (2nd Age).

That way you can hold the threat of Immortal Grognardia (sellout Age) over us forever.

    1. I like Basic Grognardia, then later Advanced Grognardia. The others can be named after Retrospectives and the like. You only have to worry if you get past 2 that aren’t named after blog series.

  5. Grognardia: The First Age works as a title for me. As to the value added: it all depends on how you organize it. If it's strictly chronological, then time-stamped benchmarks to place the columns in context would be nice: what else was going on in the (gaming) world that may have influenced the content and tone of the articles? If you're organizing them by topic, then a page of broader commentary would be nice. Since you're not going to include the comments in total, perhaps summaries of the contents of those comments would be nice.
