Divine Intervention

Though Tékumel is most assuredly an acquired taste, enough of my regular readers are interested in the setting that I probably ought to remind people of the existence of the Hall of Blue Illumination podcast, which I record on a more or less monthly basis with Victor Raymond, a long-time player in Professor Barker's own campaign. Our latest episode, entitled "Divine Intervention," was released yesterday and I think at least some of its content could be of interest to a broader fantasy RPG audience.

  1. I've been sluggishly listening through the massive backlog over there, but I doubt I'll fully catch up before the heat death of the universe. Your release schedule is too steady. :)

  2. I haven't quite figured out how to fit podcasts into my life, but if one day I slot them in this will be at the top of my list.

    1. Do you paint or sculpt, or do anything hobbywise that doesn't need your ears or full attention? I do almost all my podcast listening (and most of my youtube "viewing") while painting minatures.

I'm told long drives are also a good time for that sort of thing. The podcasts, not the minis painting. :)

    2. In the same boat. It’s nice that they post a time-stamped summary.

  4. By the way, the image you've used there is a negative of one on my Tékumel.com website. The flame was done in an early 3D programme called Strata, and the frame was a photo I took during a trip to India in 1998, of an architectural element at Fatehpur Sikri, near Agra. There you go!

    1. Fascinating! That was likely chosen by the podcast's producer.
