  1. Is the 1977 Traveller much different graphically from the 1981? I always thought the latter LBBs had an amazing design sense.

    1. The font looks different. The layout is also different with more difference between heading levels and a few more pull out tables. In 1977, most tables have a border outline and some tables have interior borders, for example, the skill tables by career there is a border between each of the 4 categories. The 1981 style is consistent with all the later supplements. 1981 doesn't have Jamieson's portrait...

  2. I definitely don't mind a certain level of improved production quality, and some color art. But I do mind the games that start to look like a coffee table book, and those with a fancy page background or overdone border which make the text harder to read. Too much cuteness with fonts is also annoying. So many images you can't find the text is off putting.
