The Big 4-0

Today is my birthday, so I'll be taking it comparatively easy. It's time to catch up on my backlog of email in a leisurely fashion, devote some attention to fun side projects, and generally reflect on a good and happy life. Regular posting resumes tomorrow.

  1. Happy Birthday, James. Being forty is as full of wonder and excitement as the best dungeon crawl. Enjoy your day.

  4. welcome to 40. i've found it's not really that different from 39, just a bit easier to divide by 4.

  5. Your life...as it has been...is over. Oh, wait. That happens when you're married. 4-0 is just another stick of dynomite on the cake of life.

    Happy Birthday!

  13. Happy birthday! It's a good time to stat yourself up as a Ringworld character and see what you can get with an extra year's worth of skill points - just don't overdo it with the drinking necessary to experimentally determine your CON score. - Tavis

  17. Happy Birthday, James! Isn't there a save vs. aging to be made at 40? No, wait, the term doesn't end until 42.

Thanks for your time on Grognardia and occasional correspondence. I'm glad to be acquainted with you.

Well, since I've been avidly playing WoW since December 2004, I guess it'll have to be Forge games.
