Nice logo. It's captivatingly adventurous and professionall looking. For some reason, however, it says "Paizo" to me. Like it was: "DWIMMERMOUNT: The Adventure Path"
I dunno I'm just 'gessing' - word verification ;-)
I like it, though I'd get rid of the glyphs in the background and the glow around the text. A nice drop shadow at 135 degrees with 65 opacity, 2-3 distance, with 5-8 spread would look nice.
Very nice solution, especially with variation in letter placement, size, and levels of distress among letters.
I second Verhaden's reservations about the glyphs. If this logo was placed on a single page with competing visual content, the result might be a bit busy, not so elegant.
Nevertheless, this is a strong, evocative design! Cheers to Thomas and his skills.
I do like this one alot. It's evocative, with a sense of foreboding. It feels arcane. This expresses the feeling that Dwimmermount is a word that would halt conversations in a tavern.
Looks good, IMO.
ReplyDeleteFor my 2 cp worth that's the best one so far...
ReplyDeleteThis is the first that moves me.
ReplyDeleteLooks good (nice work, Thomas).
ReplyDeleteWould fit nicely a RQIII article in WD, so that's OS by my reckoning. :p
That's the kind of thing that would get me to pick up a game box at a store and think "Hmmm. Maybe I should look into this."
ReplyDeleteThe best yet.
ReplyDeleteConcur...best yet! It is very evocative.
ReplyDeleteI think you've found a winner here, James.

ReplyDeleteI think we have a winner!
favorite so far by far
ReplyDeleteComing along nicely! Like Verhaden, I vote for less (or no) glow.
ReplyDeleteI looked at it and thought, "Forgotten Realms."

I like this one best as well--I mean, you finally got the mount in there.
ReplyDeleteA very handsome logo.
ReplyDeletea resounding, 'YES'.
ReplyDeleteOkay, this is my new favorite.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite so far.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was envisioning with the grey/stone background on one of the earlier choices. I like it alot!
ReplyDeleteThumbs up.
ReplyDeleteI like it.
ReplyDeleteWrap it up! I'll take two!hys

ReplyDeleteThe rest were a bit 'meh' to me, but his one is sensational!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like the mountain in the background. Looks very D&D.
ReplyDeletethe first one that looks decent. Go!
ReplyDeleteThat's the keeper!
ReplyDeleteLooks good, love the background.
ReplyDeleteI think the font's a little generic, but I love the toppled column under the first M.
Seems too similiar to Forgotten Realms 3e logos... Still prefer the second one in the previous post (and it was more "old school" too).
ReplyDeleteI really like it.
