Castle Zagyg Review

Allan Grohe offers up a magisterial 15-page review of Castle Zagyg: The Upper Works here. I was planning on offering my own review, but, having now read Allan's work, I'm not sure there's any point. He's done a great job and hit a number of points I'd intended to make as well. Go read it for yourself.

  1. Although his review is fairly descriptive, I'd very much like to read your review. I'm sure you could provide interesting insights.

  2. I would be interested in reading your view as well. 15 pages is a bit long winded, although I will read it all anyway.

  3. I'd certainly appreciate pointers on what I should cut from the review if anyone finds sections of it particularly useless :D

  4. I thought the review flew along, except for the breaks I had to take to cry at every reference to the supposed future boxed sets.

  5. I will almost certainly do my own review, although, after Allan's exhaustive examination of it, I can't help but think mine will look somewhat lightweight in comparison.

  6. Grodog,

Quick feedback - I really liked the last two pages, which included your summary and how you rated similar products. The comparison summary was very good.

  7. Thanks Mr. Baron---my hope was that by providing some apt points of comparison that you'd have a good sense of how I view campaign dungeons in general, and how my impressions of CZ may stack up against your impressions of products you may already be familiar with. Basically reader vs. reviewer checks and balances, hopefully.

I'm also hopeful that Gygax Games will address some of the issues I raised in whatever future CZ products they release (if any).

    Allan.
