I feel like if the deity won't have anything to do with you, it's not really a romance (yet, I suppose).
I feel like the best way of explaining Wisdom is showing someone this letter and going "this? Writing and asking this question is Wisdom 3."
It's good to retire characters - to hand them over to the referee when stuff like this happens.
