And so it is. May his works endure.
He is missed
"If we have seen a little further, gamed a little better, imagined more magnificently and lived a little more deeply it is only because we stand on the shoulders of Giants."-- adapted from Newton et. al.
Wow, seeing a Judges Guild building sign gave me chills. I never even thought they'd have the name on the door. I just pictured some little run-down, ummarked warehouse. Very cool to see this bit of history (the sign AND Bob).
@Brunomac: it's surprising what can be done with an informal scribbled-on-a-piece-of-paper couple hundred dollars start-up, love for the hobby and a lot of hard work...(Thanks for the date reminder, James. So long, already :/ )
What an evocative photo.
You can't say old school without thinking of Judges guild.
I have a letter from Mr. Bledsaw in my files from 1982, in which he accepts a design of mine for publication. Unfortunately the difficulties of JG prevented the project from going forward, but I'll always remember Bob's encouragement, fairness, and graciousness in all my dealings with him. A true gentleman and one who truly cared about the hobby. He is missed.
