Looks like my monitor has decided to die on me, so at least some portion of today will be spent trying to find a cheap but reliable replacement. Such fun.
Acer has been dropping 22" wide screens for $129 at Amazon. I have a fresh one sitting behind me to add to the farm. Nothing like doing a film after a long binge of typing and never have to pick up a tv remote or even bother with turning on another appliance...all in one fun :)
I read it as "mother" too. Holy heartstoppers, Batman!
I wonder why, though. It's not like posts about computer parts dying are uncommon, and monitors have always been part of that. Must be some kind of autumn depression-and-fear thing.
I first read monitor as mother. Which made the rest of the post decidedly odd.
ReplyDeleteSamsung are a touch more expensive but they are great -- love mine for nice crisp resolution reading pdfs and playing games.

ReplyDeleteI too read "mother" ... I guess condolences are still in order, but my first reaction to loan you mine is rescinded.
