Vocabulary

Thanks to Steve Tompkins at The Cimmerian, I learned a wonderful new word today: "Brundage-bait."

Perfect.

  1. There was a Ral Partha miniature that was called "Zaftig Maiden".

Took me years to think to look up "zaftig" in the dictionary. Thanks for introducing me to another term!

Fascinating article on Brundage. I had no idea!

  3. "Brundage-bait"

Can you provide a definition or a link to one? Dictionary.com let me down, it did have zaftig though!

  4. "Brundage-bait" is just a made up word, so you won't find it online anywhere just yet. I refers to pulp stories that included scenes seemingly ready made for illustration by Margaret Brundage, who was renowned for her scenes of "damsels in distress," with said "distress" usually involving whipping.
