Nice that you do this every year; is Dr. Holmes really the only person we lost this year?
ReplyDeleteThe more I learn about Dr. Holmes the more I respect his role in the foundation of our hobby. Unlike some others who made RPGs their business, games and sf&f remained Dr. Holmes passion as a hobby. I can respect that. Even though his contributions in print to OD&D are small in number his impact was great. I would never have played D&D as presented in the LBBs but thanks to Dr. Holmes Basic D&D rules I've had a life filled with adventures and imagination.
