I love the illustrations to that whole adventure. And that one in particular is a very striking example of ink work.
This is my favorite Gamma World illustration of all time.

Heh. I am running Legion of Gold right now for my friends... stretching that thin (yet dense) module into a long campaign. The buggem warrens ended up being a TPK for the players first party. GW can be a very deadly place!

To my mind, "Buggems, no!" is the hobby's second greatest catchphrase. One that should get more usage in regular play.
