More Petty Gods Artwork

I'm getting closer to working my way through the Petty Gods submissions, but there are still many more to sort, so never fear if you haven't yet heard from me, either for a submission or an offer of helping out with artwork. My hope (ha, ha) is to be fully caught up by Friday, December 3, 2010. I will also make a point of posting an updated listing of all the accepted submissions to date, so that anyone still thinking of making a submission will see which petty gods are already accounted for.

In the meantime, enjoy these two illustrations by the ever-awesome Mark Allen. First, Tau, guardian of tombs and cemeteries:

Second, Drasheeng, petty goddess of misperception due to intoxication:

  5. Would posting the original write up and illustration for Tau on my blog be acceptable? I've been looking for a good first post to get it up and running but I don't want to be a spoiler...

Please, don't! I love your style and think it'd be perfect for the book. The last thing I want is for all the illustrations to look exactly the same.

I think that'll be fine, so long as you include a link to Mark's site, since I really want to be sure appropriate attribution is given for all the artwork. Also, it's possible the print version of Tau will differ slightly than your submission, but that's not a big deal.

  11. It's just the nerves talking, James. The artwork you've shown off so far has been of such quality that I fear I won't be up to the standard set! Oh well, it'll be a challenge, at the very least. :)
