Astral Reavers are a race of Men who dwell in astral space, having trekked there to escape the stultifying order of the Great Ancients. Prolonged exposure to the weird energies of that plane have given Astral Reavers warped, gray skin and eyes that glow with a dim, white light. In addition, they are thoroughly Chaotic and feel no kinship with earthbound Men. Indeed, Reavers treat ordinary Men as inferiors, whom they may kill or enslave without any remorse. 

Astral Reavers possess the abilities of both fighting men and magic-users, just as elves do. Each reaver has a 5% chance per hit die to possess one or more magic items, typically weapons or armor. Astral reavers favor plate over other types of armor and prefer bladed weapons. Groups of 6+ are always led by a reaver of 1d6+6 hit dice, with commensurate spell casting ability. 

Astral Reavers dwell on the planetoids located past Areon and near the First Shell. Despite their proximity to the Demon Worlds and their alignment, they have no love for demons (and vice versa). Each Astral Reaver settlement is independent, but warfare between settlements is rare. More commonly, they band together in the face of a common foe.
